If you're an opera fan you must go! World class Opera in Chicago. I have a few friends who sing in the chorus...holy cow...the most glorious voices I've ever heard!

Okay, I don't like opera. All that screeching, okay? BUT Lyric has other shows for people like me, Showboat --recently. I went on my own (with husband out of town) because even I wanted to see that show with THAT quality. Lived up to the hype.

It was very expensive, but definitely worth it. I was so excited to see my first professional opera!

the setting is gorgeous, the acoustics are amazing and the sets and lighting and voices are stunning!

we have been attending their out of towner's series for sever years. This is a nice series as it allows you to see four operas in two visits. Wonderful pit orchestra, good singing, and nice staging.
