They run a tight ship at the concert venue and you get what you pay for so if a concert is GA don't expect to be in the front row if you show up 30 minutes before the show.

I went to the House of Blues to see the Kaiser Cheifs. The band itself was AMAZING, but the venue was eh. The bathrooms were clean and maintained, but reeked of incense. The booze was expensive, but the food that they served in the venue was yummy. There was no sitting AT ALL. They had a few bar seats in...

The music and food was great. The area was a little cramped and we weren't given a choice for seating when we purchased our tickets.
Went this past Sunday to the Gospel Brunch. It was amazing! We got our tickets about a month ahead of time and were almost on top of the stage. Definitely recommend getting tickets early. If you're going as a group, purchase your tickets together, otherwise you won't be sitting together. Another tip, if you can, get your tickets directly from...

The house of blues gospel show is a moving, talented and engaging show. The brunch had a nice variety, and moved along well in all the stations. My only disappointments were: no egg whites option at the omelet stand, and the coffee was only fair.
I was in town for my friends 30th bday/st. patricks day and since we were staying at the Sax we went to the gospel brunch. I absolutely loved it! Although the lines get very long, very fast, I thought the food was amazing. I enjoyed everything I ate and drank including the coffee and the bloody marys. Music was good...

I have to say, I really enjoyed going to the House of Blues - I had high expectations because of the worldwide reputation, and while I thought the food was overrated, I had a great time. The concert I went to see was done very well, and if I'm ever back in Chicago again I'll definitely try to go see...

I have read you are going for the music and yes that is correct. This place is amazing and the artwork inside is done by local artist and is worth the stop. What a neat place!!!
If you're just looking for brunch, I'm sure there are better places. But if you're looking for awesome, participatory, feel-the-love-of-God-from-your-soul-to-your-soles music, HOB Gospel Brunch is your best possible choice.
Our service was moved into the restaurant rather than the concert hall (I guess Guns 'n Roses trump Jesus at HOB!), and while it was a tight fit, we were fortunate...

First time ever at House of Blues Chicago... went to see Guns N Roses. We had reservations for dinner, food was good, alcohol prices were high. ($10 per glass for one of their specials -- it was good though!) Staff was very friendly and I didn't feel I was being rushed out of the restaurant so they could serve more...
