We went to Six Flags Great America on Thursday, June 25th and had an absolute great time! The weather cooperated (after hitting an hour of downpour while driving through WI) and it ended up being a beautiful day. We had lots of people tell us that you wait in line for about an 1-2 hours on each ride. We did... more

On the positive side - they've cleaned up (literally) and have made the whole place much more family friendly. The rides are great and there's really something for everyone - from little kids up to serious thrill seekers. However, I still walk away feeling like I did my time (for my kids) and can hopefully avoid having to go back... more

We went on a Monday and the crowds weren't too bad. Most of the coasters had an hour wait, which would have been terrible for anyone with children. I HIGHLY suggest spending the extra money to get the FAST pass. It worked so well and we never had to wait in line in the heat bored out of our minds!... more

Everything you have heard and fear is true. I'll start with the good. I'm a roller coaster enthusiast. In addition to this park I have been to Cedar Point, Six Flags Great Adventure, Kennywood, Universal Islands of Adventure so I have some experience for comparison. Viper, Batman (the original), and Raging Bull are great coasters. This is my home park... more

I visited Six Flags Great America twice in 2008. The first trip being a "girls weekend" in June and the second was a weekend getaway with some friends for Fright Fest in October. Both times at the park were great!! It was your "normal" amusement park experience - kids running around screaming, people standing in the middle of the walk-ways... more

Ok. ive heard many people on this site saying that Six Flags Great America is stupid and a waste of money. Well what do you expect at a humongous theme park? They have to pay for all the park expenses and etc.!!! That's why they have to make things more expensive! And if you don't wanna spend as much money... more

I LOVE Great America! Let me tell you how to do it right. I have been going here for 29 years. I have had a season pass for 11 years. For non-season pass holders: Wear clothes with zip pockets for you belongings. This prevents lost items on rides and avoids locker charges. Flip flops are hard on the feet, wear... more

I live not to far from Six Flags Great America, and I think it's well worth the season pass if you live in the area. Can't wait to hit the water park this summer when it (finally) warms up! more

I used to go to 6 Flags every single season, last season I was unable to because I was pregnant with my first child. When the opportunity came to go again this year I was ecstatic. Only to be completely disappointed. The parking is a huge issue and it is unfair to expect people to pay $25 for parking to... more

Ive been there 9 times in the 2008 season , and i was impressed as can be. The park has it all kids areas , rollercoasters , rides , shows , and a water park. When I go to the park rides are rarley broken down, and have shorter waits (I go on mondays or wednesdays). About the food on... more
