I wanted to take my step son to do something he's never done before. He is a huge fan of Legos so we made a trip to Schaumburg to visit Legoland Discovery Center. I wanted to do something special for dinner of our over night trip. While searching reviews for restaurants in the area I notice they had a Medieval... More

Yes - it's hokey, but let go and have a good time. Horses, jousting and chivalry sanitized for family entertainment. It's great fun, especially with kids. Beautiful horses and sword fights kept everyone in our group entertained. The food is yummy and filling, especially since they serve about 1,000 meals at a time. Even our teens had a good time... I had never been to medieval times but I was very excited to go! We went during a long weekend trip to Chicago. I booked the King's Royalty package and we went on a Saturday night. The Royalty package included VIP seating in the first 2 rows, group picture in a frame, cheering banners for your knight, and decorative glasses... More

We took a group of seniors and they all seemed to have a good time. Of course, it all is pretty fake, but the horses are fantastic and definitely not fake! Go at lunch as it is much cheaper.

Took the grandkids, two 8 year olds & two 7 year olds, two years in a row and each time was fabulous. Plus, the food was even good. The actors are great, the excitement is palpable, and they make it appear real, rather than a show. Highly recommend, although very expensive.

Again..booked a trip for 54 school age children and by the time I parked the bus and got to my seat...the show was over. $700.00 they wanted for this.

This is a fun time. However, beware the pricey souvenirs and mixed drinks. Be prepared to eat with your hands. No utensils although available if you ask, but it takes away from the ambiance. Tip your waitperson big. They work very hard carrying large trays a long way around the arena.

I mean, where else can you go to a castle, be served chicken on a plate, and have a hot knight wink at you before jousting- no where else in this century other than Medieval Times! A great experience for kids, friends, family - all ages~definitely worth a trip. :)

Great show and a very good meal on top of it! Lots to do before the show (don't miss the dungeon!) and plenty of time for photos with the actors afterwards. Much more fun when you get up and cheer loudly for your knight! A little expensive, but well worth it if you immerse yourself in the experience!

The cast is great. Especially that one long haired squire - great facial expressions and a fantastic two deaths. Bring the family, or go out with friends. It's a feast!
