I love everything about the IMA & the surrounding grounds. It's amazing that Indy has so many beautiful things available to enjoy for free all in one place!

Inside the walls of the Indianapolis Museum of Art there are treasures in the Garden and Oldfields. The tree specimens and the care the horticulturists take is impeccable! The Lilly house is a must stop as it has so much of the history of the City inside! Indianapolis is lucky to have these gems!

IMA is a wonderful art museum, but the real killer is the grounds! Wander along the canal, especially in the early spring when the bulbs are just peeking forth. Unbelievable quantities of bulbs have been planted, creating a fairyland of spring.

Glad this has been opened to the public for many years. Lilly family has served educational and charitable causes well. Nice to see how they lived.

Loved seeing the historical decor at Lilly House at Christmas, the luminaries around the grounds were beautiful for the Winter Solstice celebration. Always love looking around the gardens any time of the year!

Go here! Indianapolis is mostly a dump, but this place is awesome and since it's free, you can't complain. Not a great place if you have a stroller and want to see the gardens, though. Terrain is a bit rough for that.

Elegant. The grounds of IMA are magnificent. A generous philanthropic family that has done marvelous things for this city and the world.

While the Lilly House is a good example of the old rich country cottage from Indianapolis' early years, the gardens are what make the trip worthwhile. Beautiful layout, good picnic spots, lots of photo ops.

We live pretty close by so my wife and I walk through the gardens several times a month from Spring to Fall. It's a beautiful place.

On the spacious grounds of the Indianapolis Museam of Art, the Lilly home is really worth a stop if you are into old mansions.
