Great field trip. We had very good guides thru the home. They kept the students engaged.

As a lover of both presidential and non-presidential historic sites, I tend to look for something different in each site that I visit. Benjamin Harrison's central Indianapolis home certainly provides a unique experience in that so much of the furnishings (90%, if I recall correctly) were actually in the home when Harrison lived there over 100 years ago. Because many... More

Well preserved historical home, of a former president. I wouldnt recommend young children, but that is true of most attractions like this.

The PBHH offers many activities for the community that are beyond the usual "home tours" you find elsewhere. These include ice cream socials, Christmas tours, plays, etc. Very fun and very affordable.

As historical sites go Indiana has quite a few. This is one of the more boring uninteresting ones. It's cool because it's historical and all but don't go out of your way when Indiana has great museums and other historical sites.

I was born just a few blocks north of the Harrison Home. Plus several of the historical rebuilt buildings sitting near by, such as the printing office and others, I used to play in them until they were found to be historical buildings forgotten.

I like to visit presidential homes, so this was a definite when I visited Indy. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the tour and the home decor as well as learning the story of a president I knew very little about.

I am not much into presidential history, but the home and tour was excellent. Very well preserved with many of the Harrison's original posessions. Bob, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable. Be prepared for his quizzes though!
