The trails were awesome. A lot to see, not just trees. We camped there and that was also good.

My husband, daughter, her friend, and I visited Turkey Run State Park and the campground in May 2012. Entrance fee for vehicles was $5.00 for Indiana residence, $7.00 for out-of-state visitors. The hiking trails, especially trail 3, are fantastic! Plenty to do and see - just be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Canoeing, kayaking, and tubing on...

The rustic hiking trails are awesome. Varied terrain with streams and waterfalls. Best for adventure hikers as some trails are strenuous. Nearby canoe livery for floating down the river through the park. Campsites for campers.
This state park has it all. Beutiful trails to Sunset Point, the Narrows Covered Bridge, the Canyon and the challenging Trail # 3. There is a suspension bridge over Sugar Creek. Suger Creek is great for canoeing or riding an intertube. There is a nice lodge with dining room, swimming pool, tennis courts and stables.
Our family of 3 young kids enjoyed the hike here. The small museum was also great to see the history of the place, the birds and squirrels from the bay window. Great family day outing!!!
There are always plenty of pretty hiking trails here, with some variety that makes it stand out from others in the area.
Took this trip with our greyhound who is a very agile dog. Avoided most of trail three due to ladders. Loved trail two. Our favorite. Trail nine was nice. Even some of the short trails had great views. Completed trail five, six, seven, ten, parts of four one and eight. Trails can be challenging at times. Great hiking. Would come back again.
We didn't do many of the trails, but if you decide to take trail 3, be prepared for some mud and getting your feet wet. The inn even sells a shirt that says "I Survived Trail 3.
One of my favorite places to hike! We enjoy the different trails and the water features. Good exercise.
This was our first time to Turkey Run. Trail #3 is a must--beautiful canyon and challenging creek bed trail. We liked it so much we did the same trail the next day. Would not be suited for very small children or people with any mobility issues. Small rock ledges. The trail from the Lusk home to the coal mine is...
