This is a very user friendly ballpark. We are from 80 miles away and we've already seen 3 games.

Principal Park seemed to have lots for kids to do, and lots of giveaways. Unfortunately with all the family friendliness we were sitting in the outside of a row full of a pack of unruly kids with their screaming parents. It seemed like there was a lot of closer seats open. I bought tickets the day they went on sale,... More

Great ball park. Plenty of concessions. Entertaining announcers and distractions between innings. Great prices on tickets.

Went to a ball game while visiting Des Moines, We werr not allowed to take any snacks in the park and had to walk back to the car or throw them away. MLB parks let you bring snacks in but not here. Ticket prices were fair all other food and drinks were same as MLB parks. Parking was close. Overall... More

My husband and I took our 3 kids here on a hot summer night. The game went fairly quick because of all the activity going on during the innings and between them as well. My kids actually looked forward to the next time the inning was over so they could see what other entertainment would be going on. The staff... More

This is a fairly clean, well kept park. The parking isn't that great, although there is parking right next to the park, but the road in and out, along with the parking isn't the best for keeping tempers even.

Had a fun night at the Cubbies opener. Good seats, plenty of food choices (BBQ, Italian Beefs, burgers, etc.) An evening - 2 adults $10/reserved tickets, 2 BBQ pork sandwiches + 2 waters $22, small beer = $50 for night.

The Iowa Cubs play here and make this a must visit for family and friends. The owner has this experience figured out, he has dollar nights, mug club nights and even a general admission ticket will get you a good seat.
