If you like a hot humid barn with some wine in it, then this is the place. Overall, unimpressed or maybe just disappointed. The pictures looked so nice I visited...and then was sad in my mouth. We have been going there for years and once our daughter was born started to bring her. Sundays are a great time with the live bands. In the summer it is wonderful to sit outside and listen. Live Sunday tunes every Sunday afternoon. Sample wine, buy a bottle, (or 2 or 3) and relax and listen to the music. Bring your own food, or purchase food there. What an awesome tiime!

My wife and I have visited Summerset many times. Early in our relationship we did lots of winery tours and found this to be the best one. Summerset Winery is located just south of Des Moines (approx 5 miles) and offers a great variety of excellent wines. You can stop in any day of the week (except Mondays) to sample the wines for free!
