Fireside Winery is the culmination of our life-long dream to pass our farm and our family’s land heritage on to our children. As Iowa farmers whose ancestors tilled the very land on which we live and work today, it has been our hope to offer our children the agricultural legacy that has defined our family for four generations. Our farm has always been a place that has fulfilled our family, where our work bonds us and the harvest sustains us, just as it has for the previous generations that have called this farm “home.”We have planted our vineyards and built Fireside Winery for our children, and their children, and for the continued livelihood of our family’s land. With our winery, we hope to continue to draw family and friends back to this special place for years to come.We invite you to share Fireside Winery with us. Atmosphere was lacking. Johnny come lately without anything 'special' to justify their pricing. They should have stayed with midwestern farming - corn, beans and beef. It is the old silk purse from a sow's ear story.

Delightful day! Great Iowa winery. We participated in the taste testing of a new sweet white wine variety almost ready for production. (sometime in summer 2012) Throughout the afternoon, there must have been about 40+ tasters, putting their taste buds to work testing for sweetness. We visited Fireside Winery on a crisp autumn evening in mid-October. Of course we enjoyed the wine tasting (love it!) and the pleasant company of the staff there. My husband and I really enjoy visiting this winery, and we are from California wine country! This was our third visit and this time we got to enjoy the Friday night band and barbeque. The band, Dogs on Skis, was great. I was amazed at the attendance, probably over 200 people, some with their lawn chairs, blankets and young children....
