This garden is a local treasure. Close to downtown, but it feels so private and serene. I find a lot of inspiration for my own yard from the seasonal floral displays. Wonderful to see how it changes with the seasons. The special events are fun and Illuminations is a family tradition during the holidays. more

Everytime (almost yearly) I visit relatives in Wichita I add in an extra day for myself. I spend this "alone time" enjoying the beauty and serenity of Botanica. I am a Wichita resident and member of Botanica. I just love this place. The grounds are always well maintained. The flowers are just beautiful, weather permitting. The butterfly garden is a real treat. The butterflies will often "hitch a ride" on your clothing. Good photography opportunities, too. Some afternoons, they have lunch catered in for a modest price. The Arboretum at Wichita was a real pleasure to visit. There were many outside plants I had not expected. The raised herbal wall garden was superb. Being able to smell the herbs at face level was unique and pleasant. The water gardens were filled with color. It was delightful. more
