I am from San Diego and while I still prefer the Wild Animal Park, I prefer this zoo to the SD one. It is much less crowded, much cheaper, lots of great exhibits and you can just get closer to the animals. They have also built better enclosures for the sake of the animals. more

We have been to the Houston zoo, Tulsa zoo, Oklahoma zoo, and many other zoos when we travel and the Sedgwick Co. Zoo is still my favorite. The Sedgwick County Zoo is easy to get to and has a large number of exhibits that are well laid out.
