My husband, a collectible car lover, and I went on the tour of the Corvette plant and very much enjoyed it. We arrived about an hour ahead of the tour time with no reservation and got in just fine. We watched a film on the history and production of the Corvette, and by that time it was time for the... More

Motorheads will enjoy this tour. Lots of info & when we went the groups were fairly small. Plenty of time to ask questions of the knowledgeable guides.

Interesting visit, thought the tour should be longer.

My wife and I traveled though Tennessee and Kentucky visiting Nashville TN, Bowling Green KY and Lexington Ky seeing all kinds of historical, fun, Bourbon distilleries and horse farms. The Corvette Factory was a disappointment for us. We have visited other automotive factories and found them to be much cleaner, better lighted with more informative tour guides. Don't get me... More

If you’re not a Corvette or sports car fan/owner and want a comprehensive tour to learn how cars are build, go on the Toyota plant tour near Lexington. On the Corvette tour, you probably won’t learn much that you don’t already know, however on the Corvette tour you get up-close and personal to the production line of an iconic automobile!... More

If you are a corvette owner, hit both the museum and the plant tour.

Some up front hints. go on the plant web site and register for tour before you get there. They'll tell you to wear closed shoes and no cameras and cell phones. Just leave all your stuff in your car. If you don't have tickets ahead, go early and you'll probably get in, we did. I have a positive bias as... More

It's cool to walk through the plant and get a feel for the process. The guides are (at least ours was, assuming that's standard) incredibly knowledgeable, and they want you to leave without any questions. It's a pretty strict tour, for obvious reasons, but it's not a bad companion excursion for a trip to the Corvette museum across the highway.
