I enjoyed some Civil War history and the birthplace of Jefferson Davis. Never had no idea there was a Jefferson Davis monument. If your near Fort Campbell, it's a must see. June 2-3 2012 there will be a civil war reenactment. Also a nice park to have a BBQ. Playground for the children.

Your average outside park. Good for a picnic lunch and equipment for kids to play on. Pretty great sandbox with land moving equipment. During the week, the tower is open for climbing to the top.

Childhood memories are from this place. Nice place to stretch legs and have a picnic. Not an exciting place, but neat to see.

It was quite sopme time ago, but I really enjoyed feeling the atmoshere of the old south with everything made out of native materials. The craftsmanship of the era was wonderful.

If you're on I-24 around Russellville be sure to take a break from Interstate driving and visit the small town of Fairview, KY. Exit I-24 East on KY 115 to KY 68 and Fairview is just West. Or exit on KY 345 to KY 68 and go East. You can see the 350 foot monument built by the UDC from... More

This structure is located in the small community of Fairview, Ky at the birthplace of Jefferson Davis. The cost of the museum and entrance to the top of the monument is five dollars. The museum consists primarily of plaques with historical details of the life of J.D. Then you can walk over to the monument and take a brief elevator... More

This is a location that many people do not knw exist. I always wanted to add this location to a quiz show question and see how many would miss the location. Just off highway 68 a few miles west or Russellville and east of Hopkinsville Ky is the little town of Fairview that contains a 351 foot monument to Confederate... More

Located 10 miles east of Hopkinsville, Ky... In the relatively flat western Kentucky terrain, you’ll be able to see the monument (a 385 foot tall monument) 5 miles away driving along Hwy. 68. For a small admission price (<5.00/adult), an elevator will take you to the top for panoramic views of the region. I think our guide said you can... More
