The Lexington Cemetery is on the National Register of Historic Places and for good reason. It is a very beautiful place to visit, and rich in history. The roads throughout the cemetery are lined with mature trees that drape across the drive casting deep shade. In the springtime, flowering trees can be seen throughout as well as an abundance of... Even though it may sound creepy to visit a cemetery, the lakes, flowers and blooming trees are beautiful. Best time is spring when the ancient cherry trees are abloom -- much like the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC. Also statesman Henry Clay is buried here, along with many other famous Kentuckians.

My husband's parents are buried there. Anytime of year it's lovely. We met the nicest older gentlemen who visits his wife's grave everyday, and sometimes twice a day.

It is unfortunate that there have been a few times in my life when I had to visit the cemetery. But the times I've gone there out of choice have been very rewarding. Seasonally, the Lexington Cemetery offers the most beautiful setting in Lexington. Two minutes from Downtown, it offers a nice place to stop in the middle of the... More

Stroll among the beautiful trees, flowers, and plantings that make the Lexingotn Cemetery special. Enjoy the history of visiting Henry Clay's tomb and pay your respects to the national cemetery area.

The Lexington Cemetery has been around for ages...and ages...and ages. It has such a stunning layout with rolling hills, blooming trees, duck ponds, and walkways. You almost forget it is a cemetery because it is so astonishingly beautiful.

I love cemeteries in general but this one is very nice. There are gorgeous trees and well kept graves. There is a small pond in the middle which is a very calming and serene place to reflect.
