We spent several hours here with the kids. They LOVED it. Our 7 year old spent about a half hour in the batting cages. The younger ones were in the tee-ball batting area. They loved touching the bats and getting the souvenier bat at the end. more

For a first trip to Louisville you almost had to go see the home of the Louisville Slugger. We went the weekend after Labor Day at 10 am and our tour only had a half dozen people in it. For $10, this is worth a visit, especially if you have kids. My wife and I enjoyed the tour and museum (and we really are not big baseball people). They give mini bats at the end. The tour visits the actual bat factory - no fake or recreated displays. The workers are real and enjoy showing the craftmanship of the bats. It is a remarkable experience. The museum is full of interesting displays and memorbilia. There are batting cages available - great opportunity to try a Louisville bat. Overall, a very enjoyable experience. more

Our family went to Louisville (5 hour drive) specifically for the Slugger museum. I can tell you none of us were disappointed. My husband and kids loved seeing the MLB players that contract with the company to provide their bats for the season.
