The Kentucky Center is a great place for musicals. I recently took the family to see "Fiddler on the Roof" and all were happy. Other that the nosebleed seats at the top, there isn't a bad seat in the house. There is also plenty of parking on-site and the building is near a lot of downtown Louisville restaurants.

I've been to both the Kentucky Center and the Brown to see several shows. The Brown is more intimate and is great for a sit down kind of concert or to see a comedy show.

I went to see Cinderella at the Kentucky Center, it was a lovely performance & I truly enoyed the ballet ensemble. The venue is beautiful, however the seats are "very" small & uncomfortable.

Both wonderful venues for entertainment. Brown Theatre has lovely old charm and the acoustics are just great. The Kentucky Center has hosted many famous entertainers and off-Broadway plays. We Kentuckians just 'expect' Allison Krause to play at the Brown Theatre at least once a year!

I would happily return for a small show, a stand-up, or a concert. The Brown is pretty bland but on par with most theaters that size. Seats weren't as small as many places and my legs didn't constantly bump the seat in front of me. Whoever was running sound for the Mike Birbiglia show did a pretty poor job until... More

The Kentucky Center is a great venue for the region. Offering both off-Broadway shows such as Wicked as well as musical groups ranging from nationally-recognized to regionally-popular. The Bomhard Theatre is a smaller venue where I've seen a few concerts (most recently Nov. 2011) and Whitney Hall is used for the larger theatre productions. Even the cheapest seats offer a... More

We saw Prairie Home Companion - and the venue was perfect. Sight lines were good, acoustics were sharp, and the lobby worked well. Only issue was weird bathroom locations- women's were easy to spot, but the hostess had to direct the men to find the WC. don't go to Louisville on a Sunday - ghost town. Market Street is great.... The Kentucky Center for Performing Arts is a group of three theaters. The center also manages the Brown Theatre which is across town. In the center there is Whitney Hall which seems to be a musical venue for opera, orchestra and dance. I did not attend any shows there. I did however attend performances in the Bomhard theater which is... More
