We visited here on Saturday, May 19. The tour was a good one and we all liked our tour guide. He took note of the 16 year old cat, Elijah at the base of one of the warehouses. He is quite the animal to behold!

Like others , I thought this was a nice tour in a beautiful part of Kentucky.
What I was disappointed in ,though was that Woodford does small batch bourbon- in otherwords , they might mix different aged barrels, they said they can take 6 year barrels that have aged faster and mix it with 9 year barrels - they mix...

One of the best tours I have ever been on. The distillery is very small, but thats a good thing. While we were there thsy were on the final days of fermenting there latest Masters Collection, which should be ready in about 7 years.
Stopped at the distillery 2 days ago. Tour was $7 but was very interesting. This distillery is very old and historic and makes bourbon the old fashioned way. On the way, if you are coming from the Louisville direction turn on Grassy Springs Road, just past the sign to the distillery (mapquest gave a different direction). The road is paved...

My wife and I visited many distilleries and this was the only one that charged a $7.00 fee. We did get a very cheap plastic shot glass (LOL).

Very nice couple of hours with friends. Was interesting to hear the historic part, was very cool to understand the science behind the beverage. Delicious bourbon balls
On a recent mini-vacation, I was able to visit 4 distilleries(buffalo Trace, Four Roses, Wild Turkey, and Woodford Reserve). While they were all good, Woodford Reserve was the best of the bunch.
Superb, clear, loving tour of the most historic classic distillery of our nation, serious, informative, charming, warm, with a toast of the finest at the tour's end. Absolutely superb experience.
This is a wonderful tour; the drive out to the distillery through the house farms is lovely. Once there you can tour this small historic distillery for $5 bucks. It's worth it; you get a nice short film followed by a small group tour of this hand crafted distillery.
You complete the tour with a tasting, souvenir shot glass and...
