The casino has a good selection of slots. The beverage servers are friendly and prompt. The race track is comfortable. The buffet has a good selection of tasty prepared food with friendly staff.

Hmmm.. well we went on a Sunday for lunch. It was not to crowed but the tables were filling fast. The food I found to be on little flavor, not much seasonings.... and it is the same foods cooked day in and day out. For a nice lunch change the menu and have more if a varity of foods... have...

love going to Louisiana Downs! Love to watch the horses run (betting or not). Good family atmosphere! Lots of good food! We go for pure fun and entertainment (if we happen to win some money, that's a bonus). After some horse races, we can hit the casino and relax !!

If you like smaller casinos, with a lot of slot variety, the Downs will work. No table games. Roomy, not smoky.

My husband and I travelled from Ohio to Louisiana, and Harrah's Louisiana Downs Casino was one of our stops. We stayed 2 days at the nearby Marriott (a modern, clean, and lovely hotel).

While staying at the Horseshoe in Bossier City, my wife and I decided to visit Louisiana Downs, another nearby Caesar's property. We were surprised and disappointed to discover the maximum slot payouts there were signiicantly less than similar machines back at the Horseshoe Casino. Harrah's is slot machines only, so that says about all you need to know about the casino action. No video poker, no blackjack tables, no dice/gaming tables, just slots and lots of them.
They have the normal amount of off track betting for the ponies.
Mid Jan thru March is live quarter horses, if they are your thing. I think...

It is by far the worst of the worst of gambling facilities. Poor service etc. Too many locals go there and it has ruined the atmosphere.

The track has a lot to offer. Doesn't cost that much and you can raise a ruckus as your horse gets a photo finish.
