Upon completion, he earned a badge and a certificate! They gave the younger one a coloring book and even set up a tv with cartoons so... More

The National Park Service offers a film on the Acadians. It gives their history & is interesting. I'm from California & knew nothing about them. This is free & right next to Vermilionville making it a good combination.

This is right next to Vermillionville, but offers different types of information necessary for learning all you can about the Acadians and their history. It's free too! Movie was wonderful too.

The educational film was well done and very informative. Small museum was educational also. Staff friendly. No fees - free parking, free admission.

We were interested to learn more about cajun culture and headed to the museum. It was fairly small but we did learn a few things. The movie about the history of the cajuns was interesting to us but may bore others

This is the center of life for all things historic for the area. Don't miss the film showing the history of the Cajuns which I believe is every hour on the hour. Learn about the "Grand Degrangement!"

Start in the section that takes you through time from 1600 and look at the displays. Then go and watch the film.
