The Cabbage Island Clambake is much more than your ordinary clambake. This was our second year at the Cabbage Island Clambake. Last year we stumbled upon it after having our whale watch cancelled, and we loved every minute of the day! The kids all pestered us this year to make sure we went back there. The 30 minute boat ride is a nice overview of the inner and outer harbor area.... more

Family run operation. Very organized. Interesting boat ride (drinks and snacks available) about 30 minutes or so around harbor and out to private island, like visiting a private lodge with picnic tables. Lots of good food. Clams & lobsters cooked on beach under seaweed. Chicken available. Also chowder, potato, corn and blueberry cake for dessert. Trail for a short walk... more
