This is oe of the classic lighthouses of the US. and such a plesant park surrounds it. Take your time. enjoy the views and the history.

The Owl's head light house is situated on a point overlooking Rockland harbor. The building is not open but the views are quite lovely.

The state parks in Maine are valuable resources; generally not too crowded, and always providing vistas that you can't take your eyes off of, Owl's Head State Park is no exception. Definitely take time to stop by this wonderful little lighthouse. It is a little easier to navigate than others for older folks and those with disabilities, and the view is spectacular. There are stairs, but the view from the bottom is wonderful too. And it's free! It's not far from US 1, and the signage is good and easy to...
