Great view of the bay, from the hill on which the lighthouse, with informal and breathtaking picnic tables, a shingle beach with protected water, and an easy visit, also close to the working harbor of Owls Head, also worth a visit.

The Owl's head light house is situated on a point overlooking Rockland harbor. The building is not open but the views are quite lovely.

There are stairs, but the view from the bottom is wonderful too. And it's free! It's not far from US 1, and the signage is good and easy to... More
