We took the sunset puffin cruise in early July and although it got pretty cold on the boat (it's all outdoor seating- wear socks and bring a jacket and a blanket), the cruise delivered. We not only saw puffins, but lots of seals and even a bald eagle. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the whole area. We had a... More

Service is always good and friendly! Great ride to Monhegan. Get on the early boat to avoid summer crowds. Not for the faint of heart - the seas do get rough and people DO get sick! It is a beautiful ride - coming back especially it is easy to fall asleep on on the upper deck in the sunshine. Do... More

The sunset cruise was actually a nature cruise in wonderful disguise because we say not only puffins, but eagles, seals, cormorants and miles and miles of gorgeous, rocky rugged island coastline. We returned more than an hour late because the captain was so enthusiastic showing us all the abundant wildlife. The captain's impressive knowledge of this area and its many... More

We took two friends along with us on a 2 1/2 hour cruise from Port Clyde. The narrator was incredibly knowledgeable and chatted with passengers the whole time, pointing out bird species, houses of the Wyeths, and giving us entertaining information about the area and the wildlife. He has a great appreciation of the area and it made the beauty... More

My friends and I are all lighthouse lovers so we took the first lighthouse cruise of the season on July 6th. We needed handicapped access and the staff and crew could not have been more helpful. They let us drive right up to the gangplank and park close by. They assisted those needing help boarding and made sure they were... More

We took the puffin cruise and had a wonderful experience. We not only saw puffins, but seals, ospreys and a bald eagle. We had a wonderful narrator who was knowledgable about history as well as nature. Very informative!

Went on the PUFFIN Trip June 24th 2010 and it was outstanding. The boat is small so you get a very upclose and personal view. The captain and crew were OUTSTANDING, locals who loved their area and loved to share it with you as well. From arriving to departure this was the highlight of our trip up the Maine coast.... More

There are a lot of summertime experiences in mid-coast Maine that are colorful, enriching, and create great memories. But we are always impressed by the people who go the extra mile to help make us happy. We had one of those experiences recently with the great team that runs the venerable Monhegan Boat company, which runs adventurous landlubbers thrice daily... More
