The Old Port is a fun place to go to shop, eat dinner, bar hop, of just to go for a walk. There aren't as many "artsy" stores as there used to be - but it is still worth a visit.

Such a great area. Amazing variety of restaurants, coffee places, and gelato. The shops are the best of anywhere we have been.

Made the mistake, I guess, of going mid Sunday morning...no convenient parking available so went back to Freeport then returned later in the afternoon and luckily found a central spot. We had been here a few years ago and this time only wanted to take a 2-3 hour walk and look around which we did as we're not into the... More

I have been on business in Portland several times and some of my favorite places in the Old Port are: Gritty's, which is the oldest brew pub in Portland. Great micro-brewed beer and awesome food. For shopping, visit the Cotton Garden and Mexicali Blues. Dining: there is so much to choose from but for an absolutely lovely experience, visit Street... More

I've grown up in New England and enjoy hitting up areas like this. The Old Port is cute and has nice shops and stores and cafes. A good way to spend an afternoon.

I love the old port in Portland, though it is often difficult to find a parking spot near the place you really want to be. Plenty of photo opportunities amongst the ambiance. The working docks are interesting places to watch other people working for a living.

Shops and restaurants...I think since we had spent all day in York, Ongunquit, and Kennebunkport, this did not really impress that much. It's clean and safe and a good place to walk around.

Very charming but the sidewalks are very hard to walk on very narrow and many have broken pavment.

My wife and I work in the Old Port, and we still like to hang out here and enjoy the restaurants, shops and ambiance even when we're not working.
