They have a small gift shop with some good stuff, but the "tour" consists of watching a 5-minute video (which reminds you to buy their seasonal beer at the end) and looking at their bottling line for less than 5 minutes. Then you get to taste beer in miniature mouthwash cups filled halfway. Not worth it at all.

They do tours and free tastings. They even make sodas that you can try and buy.

This is not really so much of a tour as an opportunity to try their beers after watching a video. The video runs for about 20 minutes on the hour - check the times before going. After the video, you can watch the bottling operation and then a nice guy talk about the beer and gives out lots of samples.... More

I'm no stranger to Brewery Tours. I've been on dozens of tours and learned quickly that some brewers enjoy the art of introducing their beers to the public and some see the experience as a bit of a chore. Some are quite good at it and some aren't. Some breweries bend over backwards to make the tour experience interesting and... More

Had a good tour setup, watched a short film about the industry and upbringing of Shipyard, then enjoyed free samples after a tour of the actually brewing process. Nice gift shop too!

Shipyard gives a nice tour of the brewery. It starts with a film about the brewery's history, continues with a peak into the brewing area and ends with a sampling of several beers. Best of all, it's free!

Stopped here at the end of the Maine Foodie Walking tour of Portland. Watched a short video about the Brewery and then sampled several of their beers. There is also a nice retail store for purchasing their products

This was a fun way to spend 45 minutes. Enjoyed the tasting and seeing the bottling operation. Our tour guide, Ben, was great! Really cared about beer and the company.
