Pay the little extra when you visit Fort Knox and you'll get a great views of the Penobscot River. Why drive over it when you can ride 500ft. up and see great views of the fort, river and surrounding town.

Great views, quite interesting, but...it's still just a cool bridge. Not super exciting. I would recommend doing this if you were going to be at Fort Knox.

I have a tremendous fear of heights/edges. Seriously didn't think I could handle the observatory. But I am so glad I did it. The Penobscot Narrows Bridge is an awesome sight -- a tribute to man's ability to navigate his world. The bridge is interesting to some people that consider jumping off, but it won't kill them which is what they're hoping for, and you can't look at the beauty on either side while you are driving. So it's just boring.

Dont go here if you are afraid of heights!!!! you are so high up that it will take your breath away!! You can see so far, you must take a camera. Make sure to visit Fort Knox that is right next door while you are there.

Beautiful new bridge with an observation tower.Well worth a trip to the top!

Great view. Go up in that elevator.. pretty high, look around. You are done. Takes a few minutes. It is worth doing, at least once.
