I have been to Lourdes twice, first time I was ill ( I was suffering from crohns disease)and went to Lourdes to get well. Second time I went to Lourdes it was to give thanks to our Lady of Lourdes for I no longer suffer from crohns. The both times I have been it has been rainning, but nothing can... more

This is a very peaceful place. It started to rain the day I was there, but that didn't diminish the wonderful experience of this beautiful and peaceful grotto. This is a great place to spend an hour in prayer and meditation, very refreshing for the mind, heart, and spirit. more

The National Shrine Grotto in Emmitsburg, MD. was a real delight. It's a serene walk in the woods passed several statues, markers, shrines, etc. There are stations of the cross and many biblical sayings. There are benches where you can stop to pray or meditate.
