This was our second trip to New Germany to do some cross-country skiing in the park. The log cabins we stayed in were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. Yes, they are rustic. They are also cozy and wonderful. The park rangers renovated the cabins last year and it shows - new appliances, new windows, wood-burning stoves.... more
