Deep Creek Lake is beautiful and has fun to offer visitors in every season, from water sports, boating, fishing and sailing in summer to snow boarding in winter

There are a variety of accommodations, and a few dining areas. Many boaters swear by Deep Creek Lake, but the family will not need a boat to love Deep Creek Lake.

The roar of motors is never far away - at least not on the weekend we decided to visit for a walk in the park. About as serene as a city bus stop. Uninspiring and overpriced food at a nearby restaurant. Someone should have stopped the development at this place.

Take Lake George minus the tourist traps and combine it with Vail Colorado and put it on a Pennsylvania size ski mountain, that's deep creek lake in western maryland. Beautiful state parks and beautiful cabin rentals everywhere.

This is a beautiful lake but if you are a kayaker /bird-watcher there was not much wild space on the shore. The shore-line is totally covered with beautiful homes and docks. It was fun to look at all the homes but I was disappointed with the lack of bird-life. We went to Savage River Reservoir and found the birds there.... More
