The tidal pools are incredible. The facilities are great. And the warmer, calmer waters of Nantucket Sound make for a perfect beach. Great for kite flying.

You do need a parking permit for the beach but this one is unique as there are two "sides" - one of which is great for smaller children. This beach also has a snack bar.

We own a few houses on the Cape, one in particular is just down the creek from Ridgevale beach. I've been going to Ridgevale all of my life. We rent a home for a week each summer just a couple of minutes from Ridgevale Beach. The water is relatively warm for the Northeast, being on the southeast side of the Cape. There is an inlet that leads to a cove that is fun for young children to explore as they try to catch hermit crabs and the like.... More
