Eric Hart was all too happy to show the films of disgraced ( and now jailed) movie maker Dan Adams. Adams defrauded many local businesses and Hart was well aware. . Despite pleas from locals not to show the movies, Hart made a big production of them. He seems to care more about his own wallet than the well being... More

This is my go to movie spot. Fun and funky, great concession and the best films around.

Worth a vist just to see the artist painted ceiling but a well run movie house with homemade popcorn and good hot chocolate. Focus on indie, foreign and art films. A gem!

Some people do not like the seats -- separate chairs with white covers to protect the aging but comfortable seats. I have no problem. Offers many first rate or premier films ahead of the multiplexes (which I consider "yuck")!

If you are tired of cookie cutter movie theatres that show only the latest big releases then this is not the place for you. However, if you want to step back a bit in time, sit in old fashioned movie seats with doilys on the backrest, stare up at a mural which was painted on the ceiling in the 1930s,... More

We have gone to the movies here a few times over the winter and have really enjoyed ourselves. The theater is beautiful and they show interesting films that aren't always in the mainstream theaters. They only show one movie at a time and it changes every few weeks. Along with traditional snacks, they also offer beer and wine. The only... More

Ok, the seats are not that comfortable, and there is no surround sound or Dolby stereo. But, the ceiling fresco is fascinating, and the art house cinema mixed with popular movies offering is fabulous. If a movie is nominated for an Academy Award, you probably could have seen it at the Dennis Cinema.

OK, so it may be the only Art House Cinema on the Mid to Lower Cape, but still. Great films, occasionally music, and if you're into Opera, they do the live Met simulcast.
