We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located in this old Library building financed by Carnegie on land donated by a resident of Edgartown, this has an interesting and well set out exhibition. It is also where you start a guided tour of some of the properties owned by the Preservation trust which gives you access to some otherwise closed houses and churches. Very informative guide.

The Edgartown library is in its new home close to the Edgartown school and it is a wonderful place to visit. Huge selection of books and videos. Lots of classic movies. Out front, they offer free books to adopt. There are always free crossword puzzles of the day and free coffee. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great children’s department with wonderful librarians. Great for rainy and sunny days. Just a top notch facility. We love visiting the library.

Visited to see 1/3 scale whaling schooner. Nice over view of bay and Martha's vineyard. Dune tour and whale watch are super quality experiences.

This library is very welcoming. They have cards for games, loads of periodicals and reading glasses you can borrow. There are concerts and a great children's room.

The new library location on the outside of the main downtown area offers more easy, convenient parking. It is a bright and welcoming space, and we were delighted to discover that they had coffee and donuts on the Saturday morning that we visited.

Located very close to the Edgartown schools, the new library is architecturally very beautiful and houses the same wonderful collection of books, et al. Spacious floors invite one to browse and read. Very nicely done.

While not historic, the new library has everything including a lot more parking. The librarians are from the old location and they are all FANTASTIC. Tie in to CLAMS allows you to get anything pretty quickly. We LOVE the library. We are so happy that the original library funded by Andrew Carnegie is going to be used as a public space - how fantastic is that!!

As of March 2016, the library has moved from the Carnegie building on Water Street to a new building on West Tisbury Road next to the school. The same wonderful staff is there to serve you in a clean and healthy building that still contains some of the furnishings that people will remember from the old building. A highlight is the program room where film screenings and special events will be held. The old building didn't have such a roomy dedicated space. The childrens room is conveniently located to the right of the circulation desk and is bright and cheery. This is a wonderful library for all ages.

The art collection donated to the Town many years ago is well-displayed on the library walls. Don't miss it.

The new library is now next the Elementary School on the Edgartown West Tilbury Road across from Edgartown Hardware. The old Library will become a visitor center and museum at some point in the future.
