Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went and the farm stand was closed. We drove through the property and it was beautiful. There was a sunflower farm where you could pick and lots of animals.

My city grandchildren really enjoyed seeing the animals up close and pushing child size wheelbarrows.

We visited the farm to cheer on one of our friends who ran in the road race that benefited Camp Jabberwocky. It was great to see that the old Katana farm was still in active use and was now operated by the Edgartown Conservation Commission. Hopefully, this beautiful piece of land will never be developed. We remember when it was an active dairy farm and had a very nice ice cream shop on sight. There are still animals galore: cows, chickens, sheep, turkeys and some very friendly goats. There is a sizable vegetable garden which you can tour. From this plot, they sell produce, year round, at their farm stand. There are some artworks from local artists and teeshirts and mugs for sale there also. There is plenty of parking in front of the barns and behind. The road to the Institute is a typical MV dirt road, with lot of ups and down and ruts, but easily passable. There are walking trails, wagon rides in the summer and programs for children. Great way to teach kids about nature, gardening and farming. There are electric fences so beware. We will return to buy produce.

Took our one-year-old to the farm for morning tour and hayride. Our guide was great (thanks Dylan!) and lead us through all the animals and gardens. Then a tractor cart ride to see the sheep and cows. About an hour total which was perfect for our kid. Plenty of other activities, so I’m sure we’ll go again.

Lovely idea for Father's Day. The venue is very pretty, you get to see and pet the animals up close, try out the farm store, walk the organic gardens and have a good BBQ while listening to BlueGrass music. Would suggest becoming a member of the Trustees of the Reservation to get all the discounts and opportunities to visit all the properties throughout all of Mass.

Visited the barn and the garden (sampled some strawberries!). Then a mile hike mostly along the edge of the fields.

We did the farm tour with our 2 young kids and they loved it!! The wagon ride is by far the highlight of the tour. The wagon takes you out into a field full of cows and they come right up so you can pet them. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Kids loved seeing the animals and gardens and going out to the field on the hay ride to meet the cows. Great for a cloudy day.

We visited the property to pick up some eggs and to look for a cut of grass fed filet mignon to cook as a special treat. The cute farmstand house is decorated inside with sweet paintings of their livestock. As it was June, there were of course not many vegetable offerings, but we were able to pick up some eggs laid by their free range chickens and the desired filet cut. Our report: the filet was the most delicious and tender we have ever prepared!

My 2 grandchildren ages 8 & 6 have attended the summer camp for 2 years and will be returning this coming summer. When the are picked up, they're always enthusiastic about what the experienced during the day. They've learned a lot about farm animals, hands on experience with chickens, pigs, cows, rabbits and more. The children are also involved in planting and tending a vegetable garden. Lots of fun for them!
