Last summer was our first time in Gloucester. We decided to stay at the Crow's Nest because it was so cheap and the actual hotels are very expensive. The Crow's Nest was quite an experience. You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to the room. But, the room was clean and had tv, etc so it was... more

I lived in Goucester and freqented the Crows Nest in the 90's. Could be a rough place at times, but usually most people were very friendly. There were locals, fisherman and truckers. A good combination. more

What can I say, the Nest is perfect. The people are great, the local hero, Cus, frequents the bar often with the creep crew. People are very friendly and polite. Great place for the family, make sure to bring your flannel or jean jacket. You might even see Clay aka Santa chillen outside with the marlboros. Pretty much heaven. more

At first, it did not seem a place for a retired school teacher. The locals did their best to make me welcome, and I had a fun evening. They... more

While visiting Gloucester recently, decided to try out some local color. Tried the Crows Nest and to my amazement hasn't changed from the movie. ""The Perfect Storm" Still across from the big commercial fishing boats, very unattractive place..depressing in a word. Awful decor and awful drinks..but cheap and full of depressing characters who have smoked and drunk too much for... more
