There's no place like this in the country. The theater (both Shakespeare and otherwise) is top-notch, high-energy, innovative, and riotously enjoyable. The actors are first-rate, both the famous ones (Olympia Dukakis will be here in Summer 2012) and those waiting for their big break. Their community outreach is spectacular and makes their work all the more special. Highly recommended.

We just saw a presentation of the upcoming summer season and want to get to every show! They are doing King Lear and The Tempest, but also a whole variety of non-Shakespeare plays that sound interesting and varied. The theater venues are small enough to be an intimate experience, and ticket prices are a great value - and the talent... More

When we go to our chosen plays we are seldom disappointed. Intimate atmosphere and we are always entertained.

I have been numerous times and seen many wonderful plays at Shakespeare & Co. It is a destination for us in the Berkshires. I recommend it highly. I took my high school special education students to see a high energy, terrific, very small cast abbreviated version of the Scottish Play. I went with friends to see the David Sedaris piece... More

Have been coming here for the last couple of years and each time the experience is amazing. The costumes and plays are extraordinary and worth every penny. Tip - the theatre is realitvely small so any ticket in the theatre still gives you great viewing capability so don't need to spend on the closer seats.

While we were in the area we saw a production of "War of the Worlds." Actors played various parts and presented the radio show that started it all. Despite the setting being the station, I completely lost track of it being a show about a show and started thinking I was watching a broadcast of a real alien invasion! I... More
