Beautiful views! Standing there in the common surrounded by Gingerbread Cottages and the view of the ocean is just amazing. It makes you feel as if you have stepped back in time.

Loved all of the cottages surrounding the Tabernacle. A trip back to the early 1900's and it was a treat. We felt as if we were in a miniature Minnie Mouse land, where she might live if she were real. Yes, these 315 cottages hardly look real, they are so adorable.

Also the people that live there are very friendly. Last year I had a blister on my heel and one of the residents told me to wait and went... More

The Martha's Vineyard Campmeeting Association was founded in 1835 in Oak Bluffs. The centerpiece of the campgrounds is the tabernacle, an immense open air place of worship within a nicely landscaped park surrounded by beautifully painted Victorian cottages. Birds and flowers are everywhere. Nearby is the equally famous Methodist Church. The tabernacle itself is a unique wrought iron structure built... More

The Tabernacle is a beautiful outdoor building in the center of the cottage/camp in OB. If you are walking through the area, check it out.

A very peaceful place and a wonderful park to relax in after walking all the camp cottage streets. Built in 1879, it is as beautiful now as it probably was then, shaded by trees on all sides, yet some sunlight still filters down through the stained glass. My youngest son met some other friendly folks on the grounds playing Frisbee,... More
