OOne of the oolest beaches on Cape Cod if not Na. because at low tide you can walk out it seems for miles. Before it becomes low tide or going to high tide ( get a tide chart from local merchants or online), take your kids to the little lagoons that naturally form, and look for the little crabs in pockets... The Skaket Beach Motel is beautiful. There's so much to do. A high tide, you can go swimming in fairly clear water. At low tide, you can walk through the tide pools as far as the eye can see. As your walking, look down and you'll see lots of life. Many species of crab, lots of fish, snails, and clams.... More

Good for families with small children. No waves, mud flats more than sandy beach.

Come out to Skaket Beach at low tide to watch the sun fade into Cape Cod Bay. The water is warm and so shallow that you can walk out for 30 min. and still only be ankle deep. My summer visitors of all ages just love it! Kids can splash and inspect the sea life, while adults can savor the... More

Imagine a beach where you could walk out into the water almost forever and not have it get over your knees. Well, at low tide, that could describe Skaket Beach. As you walk through the water you will catch glimpses of crabs of all types, minnows, shells and perhaps even some bigger fish. Just a note - the beach gets... More

When the tide goes out, the beach is especially great for little kids because it leaves sand flats - great for playing in shallow tidal pools and making sand castles; also great for long walks on hard sand... not to mention, sunsets over the ocean (Cape Cod Bay) on the east coast!

I have been going to Skaket beach for 45 years, since I was a baby and I have brought my own children there year after year. It helps that I have several family members who own homes right on this little piece of heaven. Over the years, the beach has not changed. I remember when Ardath's was built so many... More
