“Fabulous place for a hike”

We love to walk this trail around the ponds and stop and watch the birds and fish from the hidden dock. You can also get to the dunes and experience another different environment.

“Lovely little lake”

This lake is lovely and is good for a short walk. There were offshoots that led into sand dunes which was fun to explore too.

On September 30, 2008, we rented bikes for the day and followed the loop through Beech Forest. It is hard to not stop and soak in the beautiful scenes.

my husband and i have traveled all over the country birding...but we always end up here...it is wonderful all year long...and different every day...the resident birds will eat out of your hand especially in winter....but you can stay in your car and enjoy them as well........take the walk around the pond and be amazed at every turn

I've hiked through the forest one both of my visits to Ptown. I fly into the little airport with my backpack, then hike about an hour and a half across the cape to the town. If you like hiking, traveling light, and taking the time to enjoy the surroundings, you should try this. There is a visitors center about half-way... More
