Loved the atmosphere as soon as we walked in, very laid back feeling. The bartender was incredibly friendly, his thick Irish accent just added to the charm of the place, that it did almost make me feel like an outsider. Good selection of beer on draft, nice and cold. Will be back here sooner than later.

- Great bands at low cover prices on the weekend. - Good brunch on weekend mornings. - Can get crowded, but is worth the wait for a high energy beer drinking experience. - On weekday nights they have more ethic folk bands. - All in all a neighborhood institution! - Dinner is so so and can be hit or miss,... Go to the Burren - for music, for jamesons, for breakfast or a pot of tea....a dark pub with a friendly air.

One of the best spots on Sunday afternoons for pints and great live bluegrass. It's one of those places where everyone feels instantly comfortable (and Irish), complete with kids (yes, kids) dancing to the music. On other days, it doesn't fail to deliver as a great watering hole with plenty of bar space both in the front and back where... More

I've been to Ireland and this place brings me back everytime! Ok- maybe not the back room where everyone is getting down to the live music, but the front room is great for it's tasty irish food and live irish music. If you are looking for an authentic Irish experience or looking to dance the night away you can do... More

I like going to The Burren for an authentic Irish experience. Most of the waitstaff are Irish and the food is fantastic. I have to order the mussels appetizers every time I go (a heaping mound of shellfish in a white wine, cream, and garlic sauce -- I always want to lick my plate afterwards). My friend who is Irish... Loved the pub atmosphere, easy neighborhood feel, and the live Irish music. The food was very good. I had the Fish & Chips, delicious!

This is a traditional Irish pub located in the popular Davis Square. It offers a good proper pint of ale..or whatever floats your boat and a great place to meet up and chat. There is good pub grub, with some favorite Irish dishes, but the emphasis is on the pub and thankfully you can tell that. There is entertainment in... More

The guy who wrote the other review has no idea what he's talking about. I never write reviews but I love the burren and I need to set this straight. A $5 cover is dirt cheap i the Boston area. They only charge a cover on Fridays and Saturday's because they have a live band playing over music each night.... More

This place charges $5 just to get into the door...and its not worth it. There are plenty of other great bars in Davis, like Joshua Tree, Johnny Ds or Red Bones. You never know who the bouncers are going to reject, so if you are meeting your friends there, they may not be able to get in. Then, they won't... More
