The oldest women's college in the country, founded in 1838 to educate women at a time when the Ivies were only open to men. A member of the Seven Sisters colleges. Smaller scale than Amherst; personal feel more than institutional. Alumnae leave with a love of their college and it's easy to see why.
I love close to the college and enjoy coming here during the summer when classes are over and the campus is quiet, camera in hand. This campus has some amazing architecture and ancient trees that are a photographer's dream.

One of the best things about living in South Hadley is being able to use Mount Holyoke College library and campus. beautiful and peaceful.
I love Mount Holyoke! It is the prettiest place in New England in the fall, even if you don't go to school there. The atmosphere is safe, friendly and liberating and I've never been anywhere else like it.
