It's not the Smithsonian in DC or the USAF Muesum in Dayton, but it's rich in history, especially for the B-24, made right there at Willow Run. A dedicated bunch of volunteers work there.

Want to take a ride in a genuine WWII B-17G bomber? You can do it here, but you'll need a reservation well in advance. Good display of other memorable aircraft.

Annual air show is EXCELLENT with a huge variety of flying aircraft. Seems a bit pricy for the show but well worth it once a year. Many vintage non-flying aircraft have been restored at least externally, some stored in hangars, others outside. Open year-round for a great day tour. Be sure to bring your camera!
