Really nice beach. Grand Haven State Park is really big and a really nice spot to hang out all day with friends or family.

Back in 1921 the park was deeded to the State by the then owner of the Grandview, Ed Peters. A zillion people later it remains a testimony to his warm personality. As a carpenter he wanted to build cottages here. Look for history and enjoy it more.

Always enjoy going to the park. Lots of sand, and plenty to look at.

Great beach. Nice restrooms. Good variety in the snack bar. Very fun to people watch, especially in Beach Volleyball tournaments. Fun town to hang out in. Parking can be challenging though.

Excellent large, clean, sandy beach. Even at its busiest there is always beach territory for everyone. Camping is difficult to get into because of the popularity. This is in my opinion the best state park in the West Michigan zone between South Haven and Muskegon. There is camping near by and a lot to do in the GH area!

Not really in season yet. Only pit toilets. We walked up from Snug Harbor restaurant to see the sunset. Fantastic views. Will be back this summer for sure!

One of the best beaches in Michigan! Go early to get a parking spot...and plan on staying the whole day! Nice sandy campground too!
