Gerald Ford was a giant in politics before his eventual succession to President. Football All-American at U of MI, Yale Law School Grad, Navy LT in WWII, Congressman for 13 terms, and House Minority Leader. Ford was the man because he put himself in position to be our nation's healer after the great tragedy of Watergate. Moderate Ford proved that... more

I have been to several Presidential museums and I have to admit the Ford Museum is among the best. It has a great mixture of video, artifacts, and plaques to read that tells the story of his unique Presidency. more

The museum in Grand Rapids to honor Gerald Ford, Jr was exceptional. The film highlighting his life was informative and the museum extensive. I would highly recommend this as an interesting and enjoyable visit. more

Of the five (Ford, Reagan, Nixon, Kennedy, F.D. Roosevelt) Presidential libraries I have visited, the Ford Museum is by far the most impressive in terms of displays and layout. It is very inspiring from the exterior. The standard exhibits found in each Presidential Museum (such as the mock Oval Office) are incredibly realistic at the Ford Museum. The Cabinet Room... more

On our vacation through the great state of Michigan, my wife and I decided to stop off in Grand Rapids to visit the Gerald R. Ford Museum. We were surprised by the size of the museum. There was quite a lot to see. As you come in, there is a piece of the Berlin Wall, which I was surprised to... more

This museum is beautiful, educational, and very clean. Many impressive photos, documents, and film footage of our 38th President, Gerald Ford. I started the museum tour with the movie, which is about 30 minutes and very informative. Then I went upstairs to see the exhibits. The 70's theme brought me back to my childhood, as I was only 10 years... more

The President Ford Library and Burial Site in Grand Rapids should be a must stop for anyone interested in politics, history or Ford himself. The library was pleasantly laid out, easy to understand/follow, and had good displays. It was not BORING! The building has modern architecture, but I liked it, when I usually am not a fan of such. The... more

The Ford Presidential Museum offers a superb view of Mr. and Mrs. Ford throughout their lives and it takes visitors back in time, especially to the 1970s, a time of turmoil in America and Vietnam. I learned so much about Gerald Ford and the unique situation he was in after Nixon's resignation. He is portrayed as being the "healing" president... more

My husband and I enjoy presidential museums and this one is a good one! Considering especially that Gerald Ford was not president for very long, his museum is very impressive. There are arifacts from the period, and highlights of his term in office. A movie sets the stage for the visit, so see it first. Something different is a cabinet... more

We were pleasantly surprised with this museum. There was a wide range of things to see. It took you through his childhood, marriage and Watergate, and of course the presidency. Some of the other interesting things were the human caleidiscope, You step inside a room of mirrors and become part of the caleidiscope. The replica of the Oval Office and... more
