Very nice quiet campground..water , electric. Nice walking trails. They have a really nice information center. You get to see the old tree stands that Michigan used to have.

To see some of the oldest Virgin White Pines that are still standing is an eye opening experience.

The old growth pine forest and the Logging Museum were a treat. It is a must see for anyone interested in nature and some of our area's history. The campgrounds? I have stayed in alot of State Park campgrounds and State Forest Campgrounds and I wish I had never tried Hartwick Pines for camping. Yes, it was clean, it was... More

This was a great way to break up the drive back home down I-75. The kids (6 and 11) were fascinated. My son has decided that he likes hiking now - especially if there is opportunity to see wildlife. Don't miss the logging museum. Sing the logger's song (tune of Oh Tannebaum). Try to imagine how they used to haul... More
