A hidden treasure. The experience itself is worth the trip. The guides were knowledgeable and the grounds were well kept. A must see for anyone.

We drove and extra 25 miles out of our way after seeing plenty of advertisements and fliers for this mine to no avail when we arrived and we found it closed! We re read all our info and no where did it state that it is not open till memorial day. Apparently we are a week early :( So here...

Good touristy event pertaining to the heritage of mining so important to the area. When we went they offered repelling for the more adventurous; the walking tour was easy for an average person.
Excellent family owned tour company. Very accommodating with our small children along. Awesome adventure and history! Very well worth the time. Will take the longer tour next time we go!!
We had such a good time. Our tour Guide was great, forgive me for not remembering his name :(
And the gift shop was reasonable, I picked up a cute lil Bat, that made such a big hit at home that I've had to call and order 5 more , which to my surprise they are happy to ship to...

My wife and I visited the Adventure Mining Company in July of 2005 for the first time while on a quick, long weekend in the U.P. We took the Miner's Tour and had an absolute blast! With all the other adventure sports that we participate(d) in we still talk about this 2 hour time slot in our history. And now...

we stopped on a whim and had a great time! the tour was fun - the ride in the vehicle and the tour guide definitely made it a good time. wish we had more time to do the longer tours.
I had the pleasure of leading a group of 32 Scouts and Scouters from Troop 755 in Northville in August of 2010 on a backpacking trip through the Porcupines. We had tremendous weather and experiences all week but the highlight for every Scout was the mine tour complete with repelling, climbing and a ride in the Pinzgauer all terrain vechiles....

Simply a fascinating tour, great guides with interesting stories of days long gone and the hard working Greenland miners. Several different tours for all age levels and even a shaft rappelling tour. Great gift shop. So glad I finally made it there!!! Tom Rosemurgy, Houghton, MI
