Campground is busy in the summer but the park is fairly quiet during other seasons - just what I like! Entire lake is no-wake, and good for boat and shore fishing. Miles of trails through woods and grasslands. My... More

The big advantage to this park is its proximity to the Lansing area. It has nice fishing, a sandy beach, hiking trails, and equine trails. We've ridden the trails. Wish there were more miles.

Beautiful trails to take and fun lake to fish. The campground is nice with bath houses and paved roads.

Booked because we wanted a place near Lansing and heard that it was pretty nice. It was. Check-in was easy when we arrived Friday; we got wood and ice at the ranger station. The sites are wooded and relatively private. There were mosquitoes, but it has been raining a lot this spring and we were prepared. We liked that the... More

On Labor Day weekend we made the last minute decision to go camping and all the campgrounds were full. Finally, we found one site available at Sleepy Hollow, and having never been there before, we took the site only because it was available. What a pleasant surprise it was when we pulled in and found our site private, with everything... More

If you are going to Sleepy Hollow State Park be careful Park Rangers use intimidation and bullying instead of being professional. They are poorly dress and over kill on the most innocent of infractions like load music. After being polite and curteous and outmost compliant. The Park Rangers still used racial stereotyping when discussing rules and regulations of state parks.... More

Most camp sites are shaded well, lots of trees and privacy. Went in middle of week, so it was pretty quiet. Don't know about the weekends. There are a lot of raccoons. You have to lock up your food at night. Had raccoons visit in mid -afternoon and again at night. Lake Ovid within walking distance. Very nice lake and... More
