Walk the unpaved "Tranquil Bluff Trail" on the east side of the island and you will get some unbelievable views of the Straits and Lake Huron. Didn't encounter another soul which made for an out of this world hike. Granted,. it was past Labor Day on the which is our favorite time on Mackinac. more

I love to bike the island, and bring my own bike which costs an additional $7.50 on the ferry. There's also plenty of bike rental available on the island if bringing your own is not an option.
