Not open in off season, but we were able to get close enough to check out the exterior.

I like Lighthouses....We still need them. Hope to perserve them

We stopped here to look around - it was closed, but the grounds and trail was well maintained.

I have seen the lighthouses in Michigan and I did not realize that this lighthouse was open and no longer a private residence. It was very nice.

This lighthouse is located west of Mackinaw City (take Center St west and follow the signs). Was restored by Emmett County and has been open to to public since 2009 (Operated from 1869-1906). This lighthouse is just outside of Mackinaw City. Interesting to see. You can climb up and take in the view. Then a quick walk down to the water. My kids liked it very much. Nice to get away from all of the people downtown for a bit.
