I'm super impressed with the new concrete path that they built to the lighthouse. It is almost the color of the sand so it blends in nicely. It is so nice to walk to the lighthouse now! (Someday I may climb the 130 steps to the top!) The volunteers were super nice as well.

Hard to find but work the effort. Access was recently upgraded but it seems like a step back in time.

What a great way to see Lake Michigan. You can climb up to the top of the Lighthouse for a small fee. It provides a great view.

You can go inside the light house and climb the stairs and go out on the observation deck that encircles the lighthouse.

Great view of the lake. Lots of steps to get to the top, but well worth it.

For you lighthouse lovers out there, Little Sable Point LH is a definately worth the stop during any visit to the west side of Michigan. Little Sable is maintained and run by a great volunteer group; Sable Points Light Keepers Association. They have it open and you are able to walk to the top of this wonderful tower from April... A meandering drive from Spring Lake will get you to the lighthouse. They have tours and there is a short walk to the beach on Lake Michigan. If you like beautiful sand, this is the place. I am not sure if there is a fee for the tour, because we didn't go to the top-after hours. But there is a... More

She is such a beautiful tower! I love the red brick that stands out in that beautiful natural scenery. I hear they have a great keepers program too!

This is a beautifiul lighthouse on a very nice beach. It is in excellent condition with ample room to climb up and down. There are a couple hatches near the top that are narrow and you have to stoop a lot to get through. Once at the top the observation deck is nice and wide easily allowing two people to... More

It was fun climbing up the lighthouse and looking out. There isn't really much "to do" so if your kids are expecting something exciting this may not be the place to take them. We took our 9 and 10 year old boys and they liked climbing up and looking out which freaked them out a bit. It has some really... More
