Excellent family fun. 40 minute/7 mile narrated tour of the dunes. Many picture opportunities. Ride in modified Ford F250 "scooters" with small groups. Safe fun in a private area of the dunes. We did it twice in 1 day. $16 for adults, $11 for kids. more
Great place to stay and get away! We loved running around the sand dunes in Mears. It was so neat see Lake Michigan as well as watching the various dune buggies and four wheelers drive on the dunes. I was so glad that we took the dune ride! I was worried at first because of the price of the ride; however, after going on the ride, I would have paid double. This is a "must-do" if you are in town. Very enjoyable! more
I took our family of eight on a Dune Ride in the Spring of '08. My children loved it! It was beautiful and exciting for my children from 15 years down to 2 years old, they all enjoyed it. Our guide was outstanding too, funny, charming grandfather-like figure. more

If I had to bring out of state or out of country visitors to Michigan, this is one of the places they'd see. Beautiful views, and this dune ride. MAC Dune rides were so much fun. Worth every penny! A forty minute ride takes you to the top of dunes and back to the bottom, with a splash into the Lake Michigan. You get a little wet if your on the left side. I would go on it again and and again. more
My family has been going to Silver Lake for 8 years. Each year someone new comes along on our vacation. We always go on the Dune Ride. No matter how many times I have gone on the Dune Ride I find out about something new regarding the Dunes each year. My family and I look forward to this every year.... more
Mac Woods Dune Rides is a great activity to plan for if you are in the West Michigan area. It is a 40 minute tour onto the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. The dunes are managed by the Michigan DNR. Great views and many spots to take pictures along the way. more
